Hello there, I'm Amelia

Several years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat journeys, it kicked off with a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the job. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Soft Hollow Glow
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
